1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an inquiry through any channel — including the website contact form, email, or phone — you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. No formal signature is required for acceptance. If you do not agree with any provision, please do not submit an inquiry or engage Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge for services.

2. Services

Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge provides wedding day pet handling, pet transport, and overnight or extended pet care services for events and occasions across the United States and, upon request, internationally. The specific scope of services will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.

Five Star reserves the right to decline or discontinue services at any time if the safety of the pet, handler, or any third party is at risk.

3. Booking & Payment

All bookings begin with an inquiry. Services are not confirmed until a deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge. Invoices will be issued separately following the initial consultation.

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total service fee is required to secure your date. The remaining balance of 70% is due no later than 30 days before the event date. Failure to submit the remaining balance by the stated due date may result in forfeiture of the booking.

4. Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to event cancellations, postponements, venue changes, or personal circumstances. The deposit compensates Five Star for reserving the date and any preparatory work completed on your behalf.

If you cancel after the remaining balance has been paid, the balance may be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled event at Five Star’s discretion, subject to availability.

5. Client Responsibilities & Pet Disclosure

Prior to the commencement of any services, clients are required to provide documentation of current vaccinations for all animals in Five Star’s care. Proof of vaccination must be submitted no later than 14 days before the event date.

Clients must disclose any known or suspected behavioral concerns, including but not limited to aggression toward humans or other animals, anxiety, history of biting, or reactivity to crowds, loud sounds, or unfamiliar environments. Failure to disclose behavioral history that results in injury or incident releases Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge from all associated liability.

Clients are responsible for ensuring their pet is in suitable health to participate in the services requested. Five Star reserves the right to suspend services if an animal appears to pose a risk to themselves, the handler, or others.

6. Limitation of Liability

Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge exercises professional care and judgment in all services provided. However, in the event of injury, illness, loss, escape, or death of a pet while in Five Star’s care, liability shall be limited to the total amount paid for the services rendered in connection with that event. Five Star shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

By engaging Five Star, clients acknowledge the inherent risks associated with pet handling in event environments and agree to hold Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge, its team, and any agents harmless beyond the stated limitation.

7. Emergency Veterinary Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency involving a pet in Five Star’s care, and if the client cannot be reached within a reasonable time, Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge is authorized to seek emergency veterinary care on the client’s behalf. All costs associated with emergency veterinary treatment are the sole responsibility of the client and will be invoiced promptly. Five Star will make every reasonable effort to contact the client before authorizing treatment.

8. Photo & Media Release

By engaging Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge, clients grant permission for any photographs or video captured by Five Star or its agents during the provision of services — including images featuring the client’s pet — to be used for marketing, editorial, and promotional purposes across digital and print channels, including but not limited to the Five Star website, social media, and portfolio materials.

Clients who wish to opt out of this release must notify Five Star in writing prior to the event date. Opting out does not affect the validity of any other provision of these terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Carolina.

10. Modifications

Five Star Pet Sitting & Concierge reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued engagement following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
